Hierarchical frequency control strategy of doubly-fed induction diesel generator under emergency condition

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
Natural disasters lead to the uncertain topological structure of the urban distribution network. It is difficult for the communication system to recover quickly, which brings great difficulties to restoring the power supply.

Stability and optimality of distributed schemes for secondary frequency regulation in power networks

open access: yes2016 IEEE 55th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2016
We present a method for designing distributed generation and demand control schemes for secondary frequency regulation in power networks such that asymptotic stability and an economically optimal power allocation can be guaranteed. A dissipativity condition is imposed on net power supply variables to provide stability guarantees.

Primary and secondary frequency regulation in a longitudinal hydrothermal system by Liapunov method

open access: yesElectric Power Systems Research, 2008
Abstract The problem of primary and secondary frequency regulation of a multi-machine power system is analysed with a Liapunov function method based on a quadratic performance index. The main purpose is to determine the best set of parameters of primary and secondary regulation according to an optimisation criterion.

Transient Frequency Modeling and Characteristic Analysis of Virtual Synchronous Generator

open access: yesEnergies
The large-scale integration of renewable energy into power systems significantly alters their operational characteristics, reducing system inertia and posing challenges to transient frequency stability.

Model‐based receding horizon control of wind farms for secondary frequency regulation

open access: yesWind Energy, 2017
AbstractIn this study, we propose the use of model‐based receding horizon control to enable a wind farm to provide secondary frequency regulation for a power grid. The controller is built by first proposing a time‐varying one‐dimensional wake model, which is validated against large eddy simulations of a wind farm at startup.

Leukemia and Exposure to Potential Benzene Sources in Children From the Mexico City Metropolitan Area, 2010–2021: A Geospatial Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer in Mexico, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most frequent subtype. Exposure to high concentrations of benzene has been associated with ALL incidence, particularly in urban areas. This study evaluated the relationship between distance to benzene emission sources and the number

Re‐Irradiation in Pediatric Diffuse Midline Glioma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with recurrent diffuse midline gliomas (DMGs) have limited therapeutic options at recurrence. Re‐irradiation (RT2) may be used at progression, but with uncertainty about the benefit. Methods We conducted a multi‐institutional retrospective study of children aged < 18 with DMG treated at three centers (Toronto, Canada ...

Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumors in Children and Adolescents—The European Standard Clinical Practice Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As part of the European Cooperative Study Group for Paediatric Rare Tumours initiative, we developed standard clinical practice guidelines for ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, based on comprehensive national and international cohort analyses, literature review, and a final expert consensus conference.
