ABSTRACT High‐voltage craniofacial electrical injury may result in delayed cataract without optic nerve damage. Multimodal structural and functional assessment supports accurate prognostication, and when posterior segment integrity is preserved, visual recovery after cataract surgery is typically excellent and sustained.

ABSTRACT Optic neuritis is an acute inflammatory disease that can cause acute visual loss. We present a case of a 22‐year‐old female in postpartum with acute headache, retroocular pain, and bilateral amaurosis. Orbit MRI revealed inflammatory changes in both neurovascular optical bundles.

Exudative Retinal Detachments: A Rare Adverse Effect of Topiramate
ABSTRACT Topiramate‐induced multifocal exudative retinal detachment is a rare but potentially vision‐threatening adverse effect. We report a 59‐year‐old woman with idiopathic intracranial hypertension who developed painless bilateral blurry vision and color desaturation 8 days after initiation of topiramate 25 mg twice daily.

This decadal FAERS study (2015–2024) identifies 62,020 ocular adverse events (AEs) across 39 antidepressants, highlighting ocular neuromuscular disorders as a key risk. NDDIs show the strongest associations, while SSRIs exhibit the broadest signal spectrum.
