Lung Cancer in Never Smokers—An Underappreciated Public Health Burden

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 8, August 2026.

Treatable Traits‐Oriented Management in Pre‐COPD With Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea: A Case Report of Symptomatic and Spirometric Improvement After Integrated Therapy

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
This case illustrates a multifactorial treatable traits‐oriented approach in pre‐COPD complicated by severe obstructive sleep apnea. Inhaled triple therapy plus effective CPAP was associated with symptomatic and spirometric improvement over 12 weeks, although causality cannot be inferred from a single case.

Diverging Trajectories of Lung Cancer Burden in China, Japan, and South Korea: A Comparative Risk Assessment from the Global Burden of Disease Study 1990–2021

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 16, August 2026.
This study compares lung cancer burden trends in China, Japan, and South Korea from 1990 to 2021 using GBD data. China shows a relatively increasing or stabilizing burden driven mainly by smoking and air pollution, while Japan and South Korea exhibit consistent declines linked to stronger tobacco control and healthcare systems.
