On the Secrecy Performance of Land Mobile Satellite Communication Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we investigate the secrecy performance against eavesdropping of a land mobile satellite (LMS) system, where the satellite employs the spot beam technique, and both the terrestrial user and eavesdropper are equipped with multiple antennas and utilize maximal ratio combining to receive the confidential message.

Secrecy Outage Performance of a Cooperative Cognitive Relay Network

IEEE Communications Letters, 2017
In this letter, we analyze the physical layer secrecy performance of a two-hop cooperative cognitive underlay relay network with a decode and forward relay and a passive eavesdropper. Unlike other works to date, we assume combining of direct and relayed signals at the destination and the eavesdropper.

A New MIMO Signal Constellation for Secrecy and Performance Enhancing

2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2020
This paper presents a new signal constellation for MIMO transmissions. The proposed signal format achieves performance enhancement via space-time coding of linear combination of conventional modulation schemes. In addition, secrecy capability is achieved with artificially added interference terms embedded in the transmitted modulation signal.

Secrecy Performance Analysis of Uplink NOMA in IoT Networks

2018 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC), 2018
This paper investigates physical layer security (PLS) of uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in Internet of Things (IoT) networks, where two devices transmit secret information to base station or access point simultaneously under the intercepting of an eavesdropper (Eve).

On the secrecy performance of integrated satellite‐aerial‐terrestrial networks

International Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, 2020
SummaryThis paper investigates secure transmission of an integrated satellite‐aerial‐terrestrial network (ISATN), where multiple eavesdroppers (Eves) attempt to overhear the satellite signals cooperatively. The ISATN adopts an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with multiple antennas as a relay with threshold‐based decode‐and‐forward (DF) protocol.

Secrecy Performance in Ultra-Dense Networks with Multiple Associations

2020 IEEE Globecom Workshops (GC Wkshps, 2020
Network densification is a promising approach to support the ever-increasing required capacity in cellular networks. Besides, securing the gigantic amount of sensitive data transferred within the network has become a critical issue. Ultra-Dense Networks (UDNs) with a massive number of deployed Small Cells (SCs) constitute the new trait of network ...

Physical-Layer Secrecy Performance in Finite Blocklength Case

2015 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2014
For physical-layer secrecy performance, existing studies only focus on coding schemes that can achieve the secrecy capacity. However, finite blocklength penalty could be fatal for security of private message. In this paper, we explore the impact of finite blocklength on secrecy for the wiretap channel model.

Bank Secrecy Act and Casinos’ Performances

Journal of Accounting and Finance, 2019
This study examines the impact of BSA on casino industry’s market performance and accounting performance. Results show that the huge gaps in casino performances before BSA have been reduced since BSA. Specifically, pre-BSA, Nevada casinos had lower market performance but higher accounting performance than those casinos in the other states; post-BSA ...

On the Secrecy Performance of Cooperative Cognitive Vehicular Relay Networks

2019 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems (ANTS), 2019
In this paper, we study the secrecy performance of underlay cooperative cognitive relaying network, where a secondary source communicates with a secondary destination with the cooperation of an amplify-and-forward (AF) secondary relay in the presence of a passive eavesdropper, taking into consideration the interference from primary user (PU). We assume
