Exploiting Uplink NOMA to Improve Sum Secrecy Throughput in IoT Networks

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, 2018
This paper exploits nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) to enhance the uplink secure transmission in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. Considering the different intercept ability of eavesdroppers (Eve), secrecy performances of both strong and weak Eve wiretap scenarios have been investigated. In strong Eve wiretap scenario (SWS), Eve is assumed to be

Secrecy & Rate Adaptation for secure HARQ protocols

open access: yes, 2013
International audienceThis paper is dedicated to the study of HARQ protocols under a secrecy constraint. An encoder sends information to a legitimate decoder while keeping it secret from the eavesdrop-per. Our objective is to provide a coding scheme that

Large‐Scale and Cost‐Effective Fabrication of Ultra‐Thin, Biodegradable Microelectrode Arrays and Pressure Sensors Using Laser Micromachining

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A mask‐free and cost‐effective UV‐pico‐second laser‐based microfabrication method is proposed to fabricate large‐area biodegradable microelectrode arrays and pressure sensors. These devices demonstrate low impedance, good conformability, excellent biocompatibility, and rapid degradation, providing a new route for next‐generation transient electronics ...

Secure Transmission for Differential Quadrature Spatial Modulation With Artificial Noise

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we investigate the secure transmission for differential quadrature spatial modulation (DQSM) with artificial noise (AN) in multiple-input single-output wiretap networks, where a cooperative jammer helps the secure transmission between ...

On the Achievable Secrecy Throughput of Block Fading Channels with No Channel State Information at Transmitter [PDF]

open access: yes2007 41st Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2007
We study the block fading wire-tap channel, where a transmitter sends confidential messages to a legitimate receiver over a block fading channel in the presence of an eavesdropper, which listens to the transmission through another independent block fading channel.

Improving Secrecy Performance of a Wirelessly Powered network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper considers the secrecy communication of a wirelessly powered network, where an energy constrained legitimate transmitter (Alice) sends message to a legitimate receiver (Bob) with the energy harvested from a dedicated power beacon (PB), while an

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Additive Manufacturing of Patient‐Specific Intracranial Aneurysm Cell Culture Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Patient‐specific intracranial aneurysm models were fabricated using chocolate moulding, 3D printed water‐soluble cores, and direct resin 3D printing. Moulding PDMS around sacrificial cores made of chocolate or 3D printed water‐soluble resin yielded accurate, expandable, and endothelializable models that outperformed resin‐based approaches.
