Secret image sharing with steganography and authentication
Journal of Systems and Software, 2004A novel approach to secret image sharing based on a (k, n)-threshold scheme with the additional capabilities of steganography and authentication is proposed. A secret image is first processed into n shares which are then hidden in n user-selected camouflage images.

Abstract In this paper, we propose a method such that a secret image is shared by n shadow images, and any r shadow images (r⩽n) of them can be used to restore the whole secret image. The size of each shadow image is smaller than the secret image in our method.

An Image Secret Sharing Method
2006 9th International Conference on Information Fusion, 2006This paper presents an image secret sharing method which essentially incorporates two k-out-of-n secret sharing schemes: i) Shamir's secret sharing scheme and ii) matrix projection secret sharing scheme. The technique allows a secret image to be divided as n image shares so that: i) any k image shares (k ? n) can be used to reconstruct the secret image

Progressive sharing for a secret image
Journal of Systems and Software, 2010Based on the wavelet transform, a new progressive sharing scheme is proposed to share a secret image into several shadow images using SPIHT encoding processes and Shamir's threshold scheme. Quality refinement of the recovered image is achieved by the data consumed from the threshold number (r) of shadow images and each single shadow image reveals no ...

An Image Secret Sharing Scheme with the Capability of Previvewing the Secret Image
Multimedia and Expo, 2007 IEEE International Conference on, 2007Some (k, n)-threshold image secret sharing schemes encrypt the secret image into n noise-like shadow images with size 1/k times that of the original secret image. The small size of shadow image makes this framework suitable for fast transmission in the distributed multimedia system where each shadow image is stored in the distributed storage node ...

Multiple secret images in multiple sharing images
SPIE Proceedings, 2012Internet based communications are evolving at a tremendous rate. Encryption of data has become an important way to protect data resources especially on the Internet, intranets and extranets. Steganography is a process of hiding data inside a sharing medium. A technique of hiding multiple images in multiple sharing images is proposed.

Sharing a secret gray image in multiple images
First International Symposium on Cyber Worlds, 2002. Proceedings., 2003In a traditional visual cryptography scheme, a shared secret image can be revealed with no cryptographic computations. Unfortunately, the revealed secret image of a conventional visual cryptography scheme is almost black and white. Colored visual cryptography schemes based on modified visual cryptography were recently proposed.

A Robust Secret Image Sharing Scheme
2008 First International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology, 2008Secret sharing is an efficient method of transmitting the image securely. This paper discusses an efficient secret sharing scheme. It has been shown through the experimental result that the proposed scheme transmits the image secretly and then efficiently recovers the same at the receiver end.

A Lossless Secret Image Sharing Method
2008 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2008This paper proposes a lossless (m, n) secret sharing method based on Thien and Lin's method. First, a secret image is scrambled by the toral automorphism technique to enhance the security and then the scrambled image is shared into n shadow images by the proposed method.

Relations Between Secret Sharing and Secret Image Sharing
2019Secret sharing (SS) for (k, n) threshold generates secret data into n shadows, where any k or more shadows can reconstruct the secret while any \(k-1\) or less shadows reconstruct nothing of the secret. SS is useful for cloud computing security, block chain security and so on.
