Strain and Band Modulation of WO3/SnSe Micro‐Nano Composites Achieving Superior Photocatalytic Performance

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
WO3/SnSe micro‐nano composites demonstrate exceptional photocatalytic performance through synergistic strain and band modulation. Lattice strain modulation enhances methyl orange adsorption and visible light absorption, while Z‐scheme band alignment promotes efficient charge separation. The 2.5% WO3/SnSe composite achieves 99.71% degradation efficiency,

Intracranial electroencephalographic approaches in the intensive care unit: Safety, feasibility, and coverage

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Nonconvulsive epileptic activity is common after acute brain injury and contributes to neuronal injury and poor outcomes. Although intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG) improves detection compared with surface EEG (suEEG), it currently relies on focal recordings of epileptic dynamics.

Health System Factors in Head and Neck Cancer Diagnosis: A HEADSpAcE Consortium Qualitative Study in Glasgow and Montevideo

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Head and neck cancer (HNC) is a devastating diagnosis, with advanced‐stage disease leading to poorer outcomes. This qualitative study aimed to identify health system factors associated with stage of HNC diagnosis. Methods Qualitative semistructured interviews with HNC patients and clinicians were undertaken in two purposively ...

Steam caps in geothermal reservoirs can be monitored using seismic noise interferometry

open access: yesCommunications Earth & Environment, 2023
Harvesting geothermal energy often leads to a pressure drop in reservoirs, decreasing their profitability and promoting the formation of steam caps. While steam caps are valuable energy resources, they also alter the reservoir thermodynamics.

Positive Peer Group Affiliation, Puberty, and Social and Emotional Development: A Strength‐Based Approach

open access: yesJournal of Adolescence, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction During the pubertal transition, peer relationships become increasingly salient for adolescents' social and emotional development. However, research on peer contexts during this period has largely emphasized deviant peer groups, leaving the potential role of positive peer affiliations less understood.
