Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Multiwavelength Properties of Blazars [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Blazar spectral energy distributions (SEDs) are double peaked and follow a self-similar sequence in luminosity. The so-called "blue" blazars, whose first SED component peaks at X-ray energies, are TeV sources, although with a relatively small fraction of

Spatio‐Temporal Proteomic Landscape Reveals Early Warning Signals of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructs a proteomic atlas of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) progression using esophageal biopsy samples. It identifies moderate dysplasia as the critical turning stage and a seven‐protein panel for early detection. Functionally, GBP6 loss promotes ESCC progression via cell cycle and epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT ...

OMEN-SED 1.0: a novel, numerically efficient organic matter sediment diagenesis module for coupling to Earth system models

open access: yesGeoscientific Model Development, 2018
. We present the first version of OMEN-SED (Organic Matter ENabled SEDiment model), a new, one-dimensional analytical early diagenetic model resolving organic matter cycling and the associated biogeochemical dynamics in marine sediments designed to be ...

Visualizing Strain‐Coupled Cryogenic Phase Transitions and Defect Dynamics in Perovskite Quantum Dots Using In Situ STEM

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cryogenic cooling induces an orthorhombic‐to‐monoclinic phase transition in CsPbBr3 quantum dots, accompanied by pronounced strain localization at surfaces and interfaces. Multimodal in situ STEM directly visualize reversible defect healing during moderate cryogenic treatment and irreversible degradation upon prolonged exposure, revealing the intrinsic

The Effect of Pore Functionality in Multicomponent Covalent Organic Frameworks on Stable Long‐Term Photocatalytic H2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Five COFs are synthesized through a multicomponent reaction, preserving a similar backbone while introducing varying pore functionalities. All COFs demonstrate excellent chemical stability and sustained H2 production under sunlight for 7‐15 days. The imidazole‐functionalized COF exhibits the highest H2 production, which can be attributed to its high ...

Discovery and Initial Investigation of a New Low Surface Brightness Planetary Nebula Candidate at High Galactic Latitude

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Planetary nebulae represent a late evolutionary phase of low‐ to intermediate‐mass stars. In this article, we present the serendipitous discovery of a previously unknown, faint potential Galactic planetary nebula (PN) in the constellation Camelopardalis, identified during a survey‐inspection, aiming at the detection of dwarf companions of the ...
