Conductive Tin Oxide Under the Thermal Budget of Perovskite/TOPCon Tandems: Toward Indium‐Free Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that achieving conductive undoped SnOx contacts required careful tailoring of oxygen vacancy (VO) tuning and defect engineering. Controlling oxygen deposition pressure and low‐temperature annealing (300°C) optimizes defect stoichiometry and mitigates carrier scattering. This low thermal budget approach significantly enhances Hall

Photoluminescent Color Centers on a Mainstream Silicon Photonic Foundry Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Silicon photonic chips route and process light efficiently but are inherently inefficient at generating it. Here, bright light‐emitting defects, W‐centers, are written into the silicon layer of finished chips from a mainstream commercial foundry: high‐energy ions are implanted straight through the protective oxide and activated by a 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$

High‐Stress Si3N4 Reflective Membranes Monolithically Integrated With Cavity Bragg Mirrors

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Silicon nitride membranes are record‐breaking mechanical sensors, yet their delicate fabrication and alignment into precision optical cavities have confined them to the laboratory. A monolithic process directly integrates suspended high‐stress Si3N4${\rm Si}_{3}{\rm N}_4$ membranes onto Bragg mirrors, forming self‐aligned optomechanical cavities in ...

Post‐Deposition Photonic Curing Treatment for Improved Sb2Se3 Photovoltaic Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Millisecond‐scale photonic curing overcomes the open‐circuit voltage deficit in Sb2Se3 solar cells by transforming the rear interface. This ultrafast treatment enhances crystallographic texture and smooths the absorber surface, suppressing interfacial recombination and boosting power conversion efficiency to 8.2%.

Spatial assessment of sediment production in a badland catchment using repeat LiDAR surveys, Draix, Alpes de Haute-Provence, France [PDF]

open access: yesEarth Surface Dynamics
With denudation rates locally exceeding one centimetre of weathered marl per year, i.e., more than 200 T ha−1 yr−1, the badlands of the Durance basin in the French Alps are one of the most eroding areas in the world.

Soil Inorganic Electron Acceptors and Carbon Substrates Hierarchically Govern Wetland Methanogenesis Temperature Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wetlands constitute Earth's largest natural methane (CH4) source, yet projections of their climate feedback remain uncertain due to poorly constrained temperature sensitivity (Q10‐CH4) of microbial methanogenesis. While water table dynamics have been demonstrated to regulate wetland methanogenesis by altering key soil conditions such as ...

An On‐Demand Neuromorphic Vision System Enabled by a Multi‐Paradigm Neuromorphic Device and Hierarchical Reconfigurability Designed from Device to System Level

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An on‐demand ultra‐reconfigurable intelligent vision system with hierarchical reconfigurability from device to system levels is demonstrated. Through co‐design of a multi‐paradigm device, reconfigurable circuits, and adaptive system architecture/algorithms, the system enables seamless switching among spiking, non‐spiking, neuromorphic imaging (NI), and
