Estimating the Sediment Flux and Budget for a Data Limited Rift Valley Lake in Ethiopia
Information on sediment concentration in rivers is important for the design and management of reservoirs. In this paper, river sediment flux and siltation rate of a rift valley lake basin (Lake Ziway, Ethiopia) was modeled using suspended sediment ...

Sediment Budget of Meghna Estuary
Bangladesh is the largest delta of the world formed mainly by alluvial deposit of the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and the Meghna river systems. These three mighty rivers carry annually more than a billion tons of total sediment. The sediment load is then conveyed by Lower Meghna River and discharged into the Bay of Bengal.

Surrogate‐Optimized Flow‐Guided Miniature Condenser for Rapid Exhaled Glucose Detection
A surrogate‐optimized miniature condenser guides humid exhaled flow toward cold surfaces to accelerate exhaled breath condensate collection. By improving vapor access within a compact footprint, the design increases sample yield. This enables post‐collection enrichment and rapid colorimetric glucose detection from dilute exhaled biomarkers within a 5 ...

Method on sediment management for restoring the lower reach of the Kelani River, Sri Lanka
The present study describes a river channel management method for restoring riverine environments degraded by sand mining in rivers. Specifically, three conditions that must be met for a restored river channel in the lower reach of the Kelani River in ...

Microscale 3D‐Printed Digital Strain Switches for Embedded Mechanical Computation
Microscale 3D‐printed strain switches on flexible films convert deformation into native digital signals at geometry defined thresholds. A closed form model predicts switching from 3000 to 15 000 microstrain and is validated across 110 devices. Reliable ohmic closure and strain activated AND, OR, and XOR logic point toward low‐power mechanical ...
