High‐Performing Perovskite/Ruddlesden‐Popper Fuel Electrode for High‐Temperature Steam Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
By combining perovskite and Ruddlesden‐Popper phases, a Ni‐free fuel electrode with exceptional electrocatalytic activity and ionic conductivity is developed. This approach minimizes polarization resistance, achieving 0.053 Ω cm2 at 800 °C and 1.084 W cm−2 power density.

Geothermal Energy in Sedimentary Basins: Assessing Techno-economic Viability for Sustainable Development [PDF]

open access: yesGeothermal Resources Council Transactions, 2023
Drilling deep geothermal wells has proven to be a challenging endeavor, primarily due to issues such as loss circulation events, material limitations under high temperatures, and the production of corrosive fluids. Furthermore, the substantial upfront costs, coupled with geological and technical obstacles associated with drilling super-hot EGS wells in

Fossilization in Geopark Araripe studied through X-ray diffraction, scanning microscopy and thermogravimetric analysis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
The Geopark Araripe, located in Northeastern Brazil, is the first UNESCO Natural Park in the South hemisphere and a world-famous fossil deposit of the Early Cretaceous period (approximately 120 million years). Fossilized fish fauna in Geopark Araripe is found inside of sedimentary rocks in three-dimensional forms. In the present study sedimentary rocks

Solvent‐Phobic and Ionophilic Carboxylated Polythiophene Layer for Fluoride‐Rich Cathode Electrolyte Interphase

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The organic mixed conductor, poly[3‐(potassium‐4‐butanoate)thiophene‐2,5‐diyl] (P3KBT) displays advantageous solvent‐phobic and ionophilic (SP‐IP) properties, such that when serving as an active material coating, a LiF‐rich Li2CO3‐limited cathode electrolyte interphase is created, improving electrode performance.

Coupling of CuO@NiBiOx Catalyzed Glycerol Oxidation to Carbon Dioxide Reduction Reaction for Enhanced Energy Efficiency

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A CuOx@NiBiOx core‐shell‐like catalyst is synthesized. Thanks to the Bi presence, the electronic structure of Ni is tuned, leading to better catalytic performance for glycerol oxidation compared to both CuOx and CuOx@NiOx catalysts. Additionally, coupling glycerol oxidation with CO2 reduction significantly reduces the operational voltage and the ...
