Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Stabilization of Dredged Marine Sediment Using Biopolymer [PDF]
The frequent dredging of sediments from port areas often leads to the rapid accumulation of excess material, potentially resulting in landfill challenges. Dredged marine sediments typically exhibit high water content, a significant proportion of fine-grained soil, limited bearing capacity, substantial settlement tendencies, and low shear strength ...

Stabilization and recycling of contaminated marine sediments [PDF]
The paper deals with the treatment and reuse of submarine sediments, i.e. a relevant environmental issue due to the annual huge quantities of dredged sediments (over half contaminated) in Europe. In a vision of sustainability and circular economy, stabilization and solidification (S/S) treatments represent an interesting solution for both environmental

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Base oil has great influence on the tribological and rheological properties of magnetorheological fluid. In this paper, four types of magnetorheological fluid are prepared respectively by silicone oil, mineral oil, synthetic oil (PAO) and castor oil, and

Capture of particles of dust by convective flow
Interaction of particles of dust with vortex convective flows is under theoretical consideration. It is assumed that the volume fraction of solid phase is small, variations of density due to nonuniform distribution of particles and those caused by ...

Sedimentation and Flow Through Porous Media: Simulating Dynamically Coupled Discrete and Continuum Phases [PDF]
We describe a method to address efficiently problems of two-phase flow in the regime of low particle Reynolds number and negligible Brownian motion. One of the phases is an incompressible continuous fluid and the other a discrete particulate phase which ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

A review on the stability of magnetorheological materials
Magnetorheological materials, as a type of intelligent controllable material, have broad application prospects in the engineering field. However, stability issues (such as sedimentation, particle agglomeration, and extreme temperature adaptability ...
