Evaporation Cold Energy Storage and Thermoelectric Harvesting via Hydrogel‐Phase Change Material‐Thermoelectric Generator Tandem Structure

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This article unveils a hydrogel‐phase change material (PCM)‐thermoelectric generator (TEG) tandem for evaporation‐driven cold energy storage and dual‐phase electricity harvesting. Hydrogel evaporation cools, storing latent energy in PCM for stable temperature gradients across TEG, which is converted to power. Maximum power of 1.6 mW (100 μW/cm2 density)

Low‐temperature sintering of BaTiO3‐based semiconducting ceramics using sodium vapor

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
Powder compacts of BaTiO3 were sintered by heating with vaporized sodium metal at 800°C. Ceramic products were black color and electrically conductive due to reducing sintering atmosphere containing sodium. Positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor property was observed for the ceramics after post‐annealing in oxygen‐containing atmosphere.

High Thermoelectric Efficiency in Fluorine‐Doped Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
We report a theoretical investigation of the thermoelectric efficiency in nondegenerate fluorine‐doped single‐walled carbon nanotubes (FSWCNTs). By analyzing the carrier electrical conductivity, carrier thermal conductivity, thermoelectric power, and power factor as functions of temperature, we explore the impact of impurity concentration, constant ...
