Correlation studies in elite lines of upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2020
Yield is a complex character which is contributed by a large number of components. Therefore, to determine the relative importance of the component characters and to initiate an effective selection programme, correlation studies were done.

ERα–PADI4–CXCL8 Axis Drives MDSC‐Mediated Immune Evasion in Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MAPK‐driven ligand‐independent ERα activation drives PADI4 transcription and translation. This enzyme then modifies CXCL8 chemokines through citrullination, generating a potent chemoattractant gradient specifically for myeloid‐derived suppressor cells.

Degrading GPX4 via Biomimetic Nanoparticle‐Mediated In Situ Synthesis of Deep‐Learning‐Designed Binder‐Degron Chimeras for Prostate Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A deep‐learning‐designed binder is fused to a combinatorial degron to create a binder‐degron chimera (bdC) that recruits the CUL2‐RING ubiquitin ligase complex. Encapsulation in a prostate‐cancer‐targeted, CD47‐camouflaged nanocarrier enables tumor‐specific in situ bdC expression, triggering GPX4 degradation and ferroptosis, thereby establishing a ...

Supramolecular Chiral Assemblies from Benzoselenadiazole‐Alanine‐Acylhydrazone Conjugates Enable Cardioprotection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The C3‐symmetric conjugate TASe, which integrates benzoselenadiazole, alanine, and acylhydrazone modules, self‐assembles into a chalcogen‐/hydrogen‐bonded porous framework in the solid state and uniform chiral nanospheres in aqueous media. These assemblies protect cardiomyocytes from doxorubicin‐induced oxidative injury by scavenging intracellular ...

MN•CS•IO System: Cross‐Species Study for HBB Function in High‐Altitude Hypoxia Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed an integrative mesh‐nanorod sorting, chitosan nanoparticle delivery, and intraosseous injection (MN•CS•IO) system to investigate HBB in high‐altitude hypoxia adaptation. Transplanting Tibetan animals' HBB‐modified Lin‐ cells into mice achieved 95.59% transfection efficiency and 8.15% HBB expression. High‐altitude HBB recipients upregulated

Correlation and regression analysis for seed cotton yield in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences
The success of cotton breeding programs depends on the relationship between yield and the criteria that can be used in indirect selection. The present study aimed to explore the relationships among yield components, earliness, fiber quality, and trash content traits.

MEASURING AND EXPLAINING THE DECLINE IN U.S. COTTON PRODUCTIVITY GROWTH [PDF]

open access: yes
Tornquist input quantity indices were used to derive total and partial factor productivity measures for U.S. cotton across time, region, and scale. Total factor productivity for U.S. cotton increased .2 percent per year between 1974 and 1982.
