Transcriptomic and metabolomic investigation of metabolic disruption in Vigna unguiculata L. triggered by acetamiprid and cyromazine

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2022
A variety of pesticides are often used in agricultural management to control target pests but may trigger disruptions in the metabolism of nontarget organisms, ultimately affecting crop quality.

Assembly and comparative analysis of the first complete mitochondrial genome of zicaitai (Brassica rapa var. Purpuraria): insights into its genetic architecture and evolutionary relationships

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
IntroductionZicaitai (Brassica rapa var. purpuraria) is a Brassica variety renowned for its distinctive taste and rich nutritional profile. In recent years, the mitochondrial genomes of several Brassica species have been documented, but the mitogenome of

Characterization of Efficiency and Mechanisms of Cold Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Decontamination of Seeds for Sprout Production

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2018
The consumption of fresh fruit and vegetable products has strongly increased during the past few decades. However, inherent to all minimally processed products is the short shelf life, and the risk of foodborne diseases, which have been increasingly ...

Effects of Different Drought Timing on the Reduction and Control of Cadmium Uptake in Rice

open access: yesToxics
Rice is a globally important food crop, and its production is often affected by extreme climates such as drought and high temperatures. This study investigated how drought applied at different growth stages affects cadmium (Cd) uptake and accumulation in

Seed Quality Enhancement

open access: yes, 2023
AbstractWith the expansion of precision and intensive agriculture, seed quality, which alone could contribute up to 15–20 per cent in terms of crop productivity, has assumed greater importance. Every care is taken not only to produce high-quality seeds and maintain the same through various stages of production, from growing conditions of the seed crop ...

Appropriate Planting Density Can Improve the Storage Root Yield and Commercial Features of Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) by Optimizing the Photosynthetic Performance

open access: yesAgronomy
Planting density is a crucial factor in sweet potato output. However, the relationship among photosynthetic performance, yield, and storage root commercial features that respond to planting density is not well understood.

Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
