Design and Optimization of a Machine-Vision-Based Complementary Seeding Device for Tray-Type Green Onion Seedling Machines

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
Green onion (Allium fistulosum L.) is mainly available as factory-produced seedlings. Although factory seedling production is highly automated, miss-seeding during the seeding process considerably affects subsequent transplanting and the final yield.

Variable rate seeding

open access: yes, 2020
In this topic, the principles of the modulation of the seeding/planting dose (seeds or plants put in the soil, per square meter) will be explained.Consequences on plant growth and final crop yield. Advantages and disadvantages of the application of such technologies, along with the electronics systems aborad the machinery capable of performing such ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Design and Analysis of a Pneumatic Automatic Compensation System for Miss-Seeding Based on Speed Synchronization

open access: yesAgriculture, 2023
In order to solve the problems of poor seed filling performance and the low compensation accuracy of large- and medium-sized missed seeding compensation devices under medium- to high-speed conditions, a pneumatic missed seeding automatic compensation ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE DIAMETER OF THE SEED DUCT ON SEEDING RATES

open access: yesSCIENCE IN THE CENTRAL RUSSIA
To ensure a high performance indicator of the seeders, it is necessary to pay due attention to each element of the equipment used. In order to assess the effect of the diameter of the seed duct on the uniformity of its flight time by corn seeds, laboratory experimental studies were conducted in which corn seeds were passed through nozzles with ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Seeding Rate Effects on Forage Mass and Vegetation Dynamics of Cool-Season Grass Sod Interseeded with Sorghum-Sudangrass

open access: yesAgronomy, 2021
Interseeding annual warm-season grasses into perennial cool-season grasses has the potential to increase summer forage mass and nutritive value. Knowledge of how seeding rate affects annual warm-season grass establishment, forage mass, and vegetation ...

A Water Relations Analysis of Seed Germination Rates [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1990
Seed germination culminates in the initiation of embryo growth and the resumption of water uptake after imbibition. Previous applications of cell growth models to describe seed germination have focused on the inhibition of radicle growth rates at reduced water potential (Psi).

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
