Fast Algorithms for Segmented Regression
We study the fixed design segmented regression problem: Given noisy samples from a piecewise linear function ff, we want to recover ff up to a desired accuracy in mean-squared error. Previous rigorous approaches for this problem rely on dynamic programming (DP) and, while sample efficient, have running time quadratic in the sample size.

Video Object Segmentation by Latent Outcome Regression [PDF]
This paper presents a novel algorithm for unsupervised video object segmentation (UVOS) in unconstrained scenarios. Although a large variety of methods have been proposed in the literature, segmenting generic objects is still challenging because different methods often perform well in different situations, and no single method can outperform the others

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)
