Evaluation of air pollution (dust) tolerance index of three desert species Seidlitzia rosmarinus, Haloxylon aphyllum, and Nitraria schoberi under salinity stress

Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 2023
Dust causes adverse effects on the physiological and biochemical properties of plants, and under soil salinity conditions, these effects seem to be intensified, which limits their use in the development of the green belt around or within cities. In the research, the effect of salt (0, 30, and 60 dS m-1) on air pollution (dust, 0 and 1.5 g m-2 30 days-1)

In situ green synthesis of silver nanoparticles on cotton fabric using Seidlitzia rosmarinus ashes

Cellulose, 2014
Recently, utilization of ecofriendly procedures has been developed for synthesis of nanoparticles to avoid use of toxic chemicals and to achieve biological compatibility. Application of biosynthesis methods through the use of microorganisms, yeasts, plants or plant extracts is known as green synthesis.

Responses of Seidlitzia rosmarinus to Salt Stress

Biology Bulletin, 2002
The responses of the salt-accumulating halophyte Seidlitzia rosmarinus to salt stress (500 mM NaCI) were studied. Observations were carried out over the span of 72 h. Three phases of responses were identified. Parallel observations of physiological parameters and cell ultrastructure allowed us to conclude that S. rosmarinus is capable of resisting salt

Biotechnological potentials of Seidlitzia rosmarinus: A mini review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Seidlitzia rosmarinus is a perennial woody plant grown mostly along the banks of salt marshes and in soils with high saline water tables. This plant being a halophyte is very well adapted to grow in dry andsalt affected desert soils. It plays an important role in both soil preservation and maintenance.

Saltcedar (Tamarix mascatensis) inhibits growth and spatial distribution of eshnan (Seidlitzia rosmarinus) by enrichment of soil salinity in a semi-arid desert

Plant and Soil, 2019
Understanding the species associations in dryland sparse and patchy vegetation requires information on species intra- and interspecific interactions and their response to environmental heterogeneity. To better understand the coexistence mechanisms of saltcedar (Tamarix mascatensis) and eshnan (Seidlitzia rosmarinus) in central deserts of Iran, we ...

USAGE OF HISTOPATHOLOGY IMAGES TO STUDY THE EFFECT OF SEIDLITZIA ROSMARINUS PLANT TO TREAT WOUNDS IN RATS

Full Text Book of Minar Congress 6, 2022
In our research, the Seidlitzia rosmarinus was used in two types: the first type, which is in the form of a powder, and the second type, the aqueous solution, which was prepared laboratory and because it contains materials rich in phenolic compounds and flavonoids, it was used as antioxidants and antimicrobials.

Mechanistic assessment of Seidlitzia Rosmarinus-derived surfactant for restraining shale hydration: A comprehensive experimental investigation

Chemical Engineering Research and Design, 2019
Abstract The physicochemical aspect of wellbore stability is linked to the interaction between the drilling fluid and rock (e.g., shale). By far, most of the surfactants utilized in the oil industry are identified with environmental drawbacks. This paper appraises for the first time the functionality of a novel environmentally-friendly bio-based ...
