Emerging Dissemination of blaCTX‐M‐65 in Bovine E. coli in Spain Associated With IncHI2 Plasmids
The resistome in ESBL/AmpC‐producing E. coli in livestock was diverse and dominated by plasmid‐borne genes Detection of host‐independent dissemination of AMR determinants mediated by shared plasmid types First report in Spanish cattle of blaCTX‐M‐65 on IncHI2 plasmids, an under‐reported ESBL in Europe Identification of potentially zoonotic clones in ...

Optimal bounds for two Sándor-type means in terms of power means
In the article, we prove that the double inequalities M α ( a , b ) < S Q A ( a , b ) < M β ( a , b ) $M_{\alpha }(a,b)< S_{QA}(a,b)< M_{\beta}(a,b)$ and M λ ( a , b ) < S A Q ( a , b ) < M μ ( a , b ) $M_{\lambda }(a,b)< S_{AQ}(a,b)< M_{\mu}(a,b)$ hold ...

Optimal inequalities between Seiffert's mean and power means [PDF]
For the Seiffert mean \(P(x,y):=(x-y)/[4\arctan (\sqrt{x/y})-\pi ]\), the author proves that the evaluation \(A_{p}\leq P\leq A_{q}\) holds if and only if ...

ABSTRACT Objective Perceived parental relationship characteristics, such as maternal overprotection, rejection or neglect, and peer victimisation, are suggested to be more common in patients with anorexia nervosa (AN) than in healthy controls. This study compares parental and peer relationships in adolescent patients with AN to those in a clinical ...

Controlled cortical impact traumatic brain injury in 3xTg-AD mice causes acute intra-axonal amyloid-β accumulation and independently accelerates the development of tau abnormalities [PDF]
Alzheimer\u27s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized pathologically by progressive neuronal loss, extracellular plaques containing the amyloid-β (Aβ) peptides, and neurofibrillary tangles composed of hyperphosphorylated tau proteins.

Size Disparity in Putative Primate Adaptive Radiations and Other Mammalian Clades
ABSTRACT Introduction Adaptive radiation is commonly viewed as the rapid production of phenotypic disparity and taxonomic diversity. Among primates, two clades have been identified as potential adaptive radiations: the lemurs of Madagascar and the platyrrhines of the Americas. This study examines these clades for one of the proposed signals of adaptive

Seiffert means, asymptotic expansions and inequalities
In this paper we study inequalities of the form $(1-\mu) M_1(s, t)+\mu M_3(s, t) \leq M_2(s, t)\leq(1-\nu)M_1(s, t)+\nu M_3(s, t)$, which cover some classical bivariate means and Seiffert means. Using techniques of asymptotic expansions detailed analysis was made and the method for obtaining optimal parameters $\mu$ and $\nu$ was described.

Analysis of cranial endocast data of 181 extant and 41 fossil species from Euarchontoglires shows that there was a reduction in olfactory bulb size in Crown Primates, but that there were also subsequent reductions in various other primate clades (Anthropoidea, Catarrhini, Platyrrhini, crown Cercopithecoidea, Hominoidea).

A Sharp Double Inequality between Seiffert, Arithmetic, and Geometric Means [PDF]
For fixed s ≥ 1 and any t1, t2 ∈ (0,1/2) we prove that the double inequality Gs(t1a + (1 − t1)b, t1b + (1 − t1)a)A1−s(a, b) < P(a, b) < Gs(t2a + (1 − t2)b, t2b + (1 − t2)a)A1−s(a, b) holds for all a, b > 0 with a ≠ b if and only if and . Here, P(a, b), A(a, b) and G(a, b) denote the Seiffert, arithmetic, and geometric means of two positive ...
