Multi‐Scale Structural Insights Into Amphiphilic Model PEG–PCL Co‐Networks From LS and SANS

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
We present a multiscale structural study of amphiphilic PEG–PCL co‐networks combining light scattering in THF and small‐angle neutron scattering in D2O. This dual‐solvent approach reveals how solvent quality, polymer volume fraction, and PEG/PCL interactions govern static and dynamic correlation lengths, network homogeneity, and nanoscale domain ...

Optimal convex combination bounds of Seiffert and geometric means for the arithmetic mean [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Inequalities, 2011
We find the greatest value α and the least value β such that the double inequality αT (a,b) + (1−α)G(a,b) 0 with a = b . Here T (a,b) , G(a,b) , and A(a,b) denote the Seiffert, geometric, and arithmetic means of two positive numbers a and b , respectively.

Toward Model Amphiphilic Polymer Co‐Networks: Linking Architecture to Structure and Properties

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
This review provides a comprehensive overview on model amphiphilic polymer co‐networks, demonstrating how precise control over network architecture enables systematic investigation of their structure and properties. By linking molecular design to macroscopic behavior, it highlights fundamental structure–property relationships and shows how these ...

Risk factors for paravalvular leak after transcatheter aortic valve replacement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Objective. To assess risk factors for paravalvular leak (PVL) after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in a large single-center cohort, including measurement of aortic valve calcification using a reproducible method. Methods.

OPTIMAL CONVEX COMBINATION BOUNDS OF THE CONTRAHARMONIC AND HARMONIC MEANS FOR THE SEIFFERT MEAN [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Pure and Apllied Mathematics, 2014
We find the greatest value α and the least value β such that the double inequality αC(a, b) + (1− α)H(a, b) 0 with a 6= b . Here C(a, b) , H(a, b) and P(a, b) denote the contraharmonic, harmonic, and the Seiffert means of two positive numbers a and b respectively.

Lagrangian Acceleration as a Diagnostic for Wave Breaking in the Nearshore Zone

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract This study focuses on evaluating the Lagrangian downward acceleration of fluid particles near the wavecrest as a dynamic criterion for identification of wave breaking in shallow water. The use of the downward acceleration as an indicator for wave breaking goes back to the work of Longuet‐Higgins (1963), https://doi.org/10.1017 ...

On the p-Version of the Schwab-Borchardt Mean

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2014
This paper deals with a one-parameter generalization of the Schwab-Borchardt mean. The new mean is defined in terms of the inverse functions of the generalized trigonometric and generalized hyperbolic functions.

Axial Ratio of Edge-On Spiral Galaxies as a Test For Extended Bright Radio Halos

open access: yes, 2015
We use surface brightness contour maps of nearby edge-on spiral galaxies to determine whether extended bright radio halos are common. In particular, we test a recent model of the spatial structure of the diffuse radio continuum by Subrahmanyan and Cowsik

Green Signals, Red Flags: The Impact of Greenwashing Allegations and Crisis Communication on Corporate Perceptions

open access: yesJournal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, Volume 34, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Greenwashing allegations threaten the legitimacy of ESG investments and can shape public perceptions. Drawing on signaling theory and crisis communication, we examine how the source and type of greenwashing allegations as well as a firm's crisis response strategy affect corporate image and investor behavior.

Feeding in Forest Chimpanzees: Do Food Type and Canopy Location Predict Positional Behavior?

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 189, Issue 2, February 2026.
Ngogo chimpanzees from Kibale National Park, Uganda use versatile postures, like suspension, more when eating leaves than other foods. However, in the terminal canopy, eating fruit is most associated with versatility. Food type and availability, in different combinations, produce similar behaviors.
