Seismic Damage Analysis Model for RC Structures Based on Concrete Plastic Damage Model
Structures Congress 2011, 2011Firstly, a plastic-damage constitutive model for concrete complying with the laws of thermodynamics is proposed based on continuum damage mechanics theory. The damage constitutive equations, damage evolution equations and plastic deformation of concrete are derived. Secondly, Fiber damage analysis model(FDAM) for RC beam-column member is established by

A Seismic Damage Model for Masonry Structures
1987Masonry structures are common in seismic areas despite their generally poor performance in past earthquakes. Loss of lives and severe damage to masonry structures during earthquakes, such as the 1976 Tangshan earthquake, underscores the need for a method to assess the potential damage to masonry structures subjected to seismic ground motions.

Dynamic rupture and seismic radiation in a damage-breakage rheology model
Pure and Applied Geophysics, 2018
We present simulations of dynamic ruptures in a continuum damage-breakage rheological model and waves radiated by the ruptures observed in the far field. The model combines aspects of a continuum viscoelastic damage framework for brittle solids with a continuum breakage mechanics for granular flow.

Rapid Diagnostic Model of Road Lifeline Seismic Damage Based on Seismic Intensity
Access Management Theories and Practices, 2015Earthquake is one of the serious geological disasters in China, it would cause varying degrees of damage to road lifeline. Due to the difficulty of quickly getting the damage information of road lifeline after earthquake, it has a great impact on the rescue work.

Structure‐to‐structure seismic damage correlation model
Earthquake Engineering & Structural DynamicsAbstractStrong earthquake disasters can cause noticeable damage correlations among regional buildings with similar mechanical properties, termed structure‐to‐structure seismic damage correlation, which has a pronounced impact on the regional seismic risk assessment and therefore needs to be properly quantified. This study first introduces a time‐domain

Estimation of the seismic demand model for different damage levels
Engineering Structures, 2019Abstract The estimation of seismic demand that connects the ground motion intensity measure and the damage measure of structures is one of the most important components in the performance-based design. The random nature of earthquake ground motion with great uncertainties in structural properties has posed challenges before this estimation.

A DAMAGE MODEL FOR THE ANALYSIS OF THE SEISMIC RESPONSE OF MONUMENTAL BUILDINGS
Journal of Earthquake Engineering, 2005In this paper the Author proposes a damage model for the analysis of masonry plates and shells, which is based on an improvement of a previous constitutive model. The modifications introduced, connected to the head joint damage, allow us to study the influence of masonry texture on the damage modes once the mechanical characteristics of the elements ...

Comparison of modelled seismic loss against historical damage information
2020
The increasing loss of human life and property due to earthquakes in past years have increased the demand for seismic risk analysis for people to be better prepared for a potential threat. With the centralization and increase of population near urban centres and megacities, earthquakes occur in these places will cause much ...
