Numerical Simulations of the Apollo S‐IVB Artificial Impacts on the Moon
The third stage of the Saturn IV rocket used in the five Apollo missions made craters on the Moon ∼30 m in diameter. Their initial impact conditions were known, so they can be considered controlled impacts.

Radiative transfer theory for estimation of the seismic moment [PDF]
SUMMARY We propose a new technique to obtain source spectra and seismic moments of regional earthquakes from envelopes of seismic coda. As compared to existing methods, our approach is based on a physical model of the scattering process that produces the seismic coda.

Seismic Fragility Assessment of Special Truss Moment Frames (STMF) Using the Capacity Spectrum Method [PDF]
Fragility curves represent the probabilities that structural damages, under various levels of seismic excitation, will exceed the specified damage states by means of earthquake intensity damage relations.

Coda-derived source properties estimated using local earthquakes in the Sea of Marmara, Türkiye [PDF]
Accurate estimates of the moment magnitude of earthquakes that physically measure the earthquake source energy are crucial for improving our understanding of seismic hazard in regions prone to tectonic activity. To address this demand, a method involving

THE CONTRIBUTION OF EARTHQUAKES TO THE DEFORMATION OF ZAGROS TECTONIC PROVINCE [PDF]
In this study, we investigate the contribution of earthquakes to the deformation of Zagros province and compare the seismicity and the density of earthquakes in different parts of the province.

Radiated seismic energy is a quantitative characteristic of an earthquake that depends not only on the initial and final stresses, but also on the rupture history, and reflects the dynamic characteristics of the source.
