2012Abstract Epilepsy is common in brain tumors, 30–70% of all patients develop symptomatic epilepsy which considerably influences the daily life of this patient group. Low-grade tumors and a cortical location are the most important factors predicting the development of epilepsy in brain tumor.

Prognosis for seizure control in infantile spasms preceded by other seizures
Brain and Development, 1990Thirteen to 43% of patients with infantile spasms (IS) have other types of seizures, which are considered a feature of an unfavourable prognosis and, to some extent, as a contra-indication for steroid treatment. The present series comprised 43 patients treated with steroids, who suffered from other types of seizures prior to IS.

Phenobarbital dosage for control of neonatal seizures
Neurology, 1979The relationship of the initial phenobarbital dose to weight, gestational age, blood level, and seizure control was studied in 39 neonates. The blood proportional to the dosage per kilogram, and was not related to weight or gestational age. Seizures remitted only at blood phenobarbital concentrations above 16.9 micrograms per milliliter.
