Design and Implementation of a Selective Harmonic Elimination SPWM Strategy-Based Inverter

2008
After comparison of various Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) schemes, the selection of Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) SPWM is justified through MATLAB-based simulations. First, the results of MATLAB-based spectral analysis of simulated three-phase SHE SPWM waveforms are described.

Modification of the selective harmonic elimination method for effective catenary current harmonics reduction

2015 International Conference on Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (EDPE), 2015
The paper proposes an application of a well-known method of Selective Harmonic Elimination in inverter's output voltage to influence an input traction current spectrum in a DC supplied traction vehicle with asynchronous motors. The aim is to reduce the values of current harmonics in frequency bands that are subject to limitations applicable on Polish ...

Harmonic minimization in multilevel inverters using selective harmonic elimination PWM technique

2013 International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy (ICRESE), 2013
Generally the output voltage of the inverters must be sinusoidal. However the waveforms of practical inverters are non sinusoidal and contain certain harmonics. For low and medium power applications, square wave or quasi square wave may be acceptable but for high power applications, low distorted sinusoidal waveforms are required.

Selective harmonics elimination: PWM method versus optimized total harmonic distortion

4th International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives, 2013
This paper describes two different PWM methods to improve the quality of the output voltage waveform provided from five level inverter. The first one is the selective harmonics elimination (SHEPWM). The purpose is to cancel the 5th, 7th and 11th harmonic row.

Selective harmonic elimination for a NPC converter using modified carrier signals

IECON 2014 - 40th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2014
The Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) modulation scheme is a very useful method to eliminate some lower harmonics of the output signals in a NPC converter, but as it is an offline method its implementation in a system sometimes is very hard to do. Instead of use the SHE modulation, in this paper it is proposed an approximation of the SHE scheme to a

The Selected Harmonic Elimination PWM Strategy Based on FPGA

2016
In the electric traction transmission system, subject to the maximum switching frequency and output voltage and current harmonic performance, a special optimized pulse width modulation strategy is generally required. The selected harmonic elimination PWM eliminates the lower-order harmonics so the interference of motor torque will decrease.

Genetic Algorithm for Selective Harmonic Elimination PWM Control

2014
The paper presents an optimal solution for eliminating pre-specified order of harmonics from three-phase inverter. One solution to this problem is the selective harmonic elimination, which is required to solve multiple nonlinear equations simultaneously. Genetic algorithm (GA) technique is introduced to minimize the computational burden associated with
