Self-complementary magic squares.

Ars Comb., 2014
This paper considers magic squares on the symbols 1 to \(n^2\). The complement of such a square is obtained by replacing each symbol \(s\) by \(n^2+1-s\). Two magic squares are equivalent if one can be mapped to the other by some element of the dihedral group of order 8. A magic square is self-complementary if it is equivalent to its complement.

On strongly regular self ‐ complementary graphs

Journal of Graph Theory, 1981
AbstractIt is shown that certain conditions assumed on a regular self‐complementary graph are not sufficient for the graph to be strongly regular, answering in the negative a question posed by Kotzig in [1].

Self-complementary circulant graphs

Ars Comb., 1999
Summary: There exists a self-complementary circulant graph with \(n\) vertices if and only if every prime \(p\) in the prime factorization of \(n\) satisfies \(p \equiv 1\) (mod 4).

Self-complementary

Chemistry (Weinheim an der Bergstrasse, Germany)
Three [3]catenanes with cavities large enough to accommodate aromatic guests have been designed and synthesized (yields = 5-20 %) by means of kinetically controlled self-assembly processes. The X-ray structural analysis of one of three [3]catenanes confirmed the presence of a rectangular cavity (dimensions = 7 x 11 A) lined by pi-electron-rich ...

Self-complementary graphs

Cybernetics, 1986
The paper is mainly concerned with the class K of finite groups defined as follows: \(\Gamma\in K\) if \(\Gamma\) has an automorphism \(\sigma\) and a subset H such that \(\Gamma \setminus \{e\}=H\cup H^{\sigma}\), \(H\cap H^{\sigma}=\emptyset\) and \(h\in H\Rightarrow h^{-1}\in H\).
