ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

Multidimensional quasi-twisted codes : equivalent characterizations and their relation to multidimensional convolutional codes [PDF]
We study multidimensional analogues of quasi-twisted codes from different points of view. Their concatenated structure allows us to characterize self-dual and complementary-dual classes of such codes as well as to show that multidimensional quasi-twisted

Genetic Algorithm-Based Method for Discovering Involutory MDS Matrices
In this paper, we present an innovative approach for the discovery of involutory maximum distance separable (MDS) matrices over finite fields F2q, derived from MDS self-dual codes, by employing a technique based on genetic algorithms. The significance of

Self-dual Codes Using Image Restoration Techniques [PDF]
From past literature it is evident that the search for self-dual codes has been hampered by the computational difficulty of generating the Hadamard matrices required. The use of the cocyclic construction of Hadamard matrices has permitted substantial cut-

ABSTRACT Gliomas have undergone a profound redefinition over the past decade, transitioning from morphology‐based entities to biologically coherent diseases defined by molecular alterations. The 2021 WHO Classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System and its 2022 update formalize this shift, establishing integrated diagnosis as the global ...

Objective We aimed to estimate the prevalence and cumulative incidence of hydroxychloroquine retinopathy (HCQ‐R) and its risk factors among patients receiving long‐term HCQ with rheumatic diseases through a systematic review and meta‐analysis of observational studies that used spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (SD‐OCT) for screening ...

An upper bound for self-dual codes
Gleason has described the general form that the weight distribution of a self-dual code over GF(2) and GF(3) can have. We give an explicit formula for this weight distribution when the minimum distance d between codewords is made as large as possible. It follows that for self-dual codes of length n over GF(2) with all weights divisible by 4, d ⩽ 4[n/24]

Objective The aim of this study was to determine the differences in demographic, serologic, and clinical characteristics between male and female patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) in an Australian cohort. Methods This was a retrospective observational study using data from the Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study.
