This paper presents a digital microfluidics‐based technique for transferring and reconfiguring soft nanomembranes. Laser‐machined nanothin membranes are picked up, transported, and aligned via tailored surface tension and the actuation of water droplets, enabling the development of flexible electronics, the integration of functional materials on 3D ...

On a self-embedding problem for self-similar sets
AbstractLet $K\subset {\mathbb {R}}^d$ be a self-similar set generated by an iterated function system $\{\varphi _i\}_{i=1}^m$ satisfying the strong separation condition and let f be a contracting similitude with $f(K)\subseteq K$ . We show that $f(K)$ is relatively open in K if all $\varphi _i$ share a common contraction ratio and orthogonal ...

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.

Self-sensing performance and electrode configuration analysis of carbon black-modified UHPCC
To achieve the self-sensing performance of ultra-high performance cementitious composites (UHPCC), modified UHPCC specimens were prepared with carbon black as a conductive filler.

Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.

Single‐crystal gold microplates are high‐performance nanomaterials with an impressive wafer‐based application space. Progress has, however, been tempered by an inability to exert synthetic control over microplate size, shape, and positioning. In this work, control over these parameters is demonstrated using a seed‐mediated synthesis that both confines ...
