Relaxation, Biofeedback, and Self-Hypnosis
1983Because stress and tension influence strongly the perception of pain, relaxation techniques are important in pain management. Biofeedback is widely used as an aid to relaxation and has been shown to be particularly useful in the treatment of muscle contraction and migraine headaches.
