Experimental study on self-injection-locking oscillator

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe, 1994
A new method to reduce divergence of copper vapor laser beam was developed successfully using double discharge. Divergence as small as a conventional injection locking oscillator system was obtained with the single bore unit.

Stability analysis of self-injection-locked oscillators

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2003
This paper addresses the stability analysis of the self-injection-locked oscillators. The analysis is developed for arbitrary self-injection feedback loops and illustrated with the specific case of a simple time-delay cable. It is shown that the output phase stability in self-injection-locked oscillators depends on the feedback loop delay and the types

Self-injection locked quantum-dash multi-wavelength laser

2017 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), 2017
InAs/InP quantum-dash multi-wavelength laser is reported utilizing self-injection locking coherency boosting technique. Subcarrier controllability between 1–16 Fabry-Perot modes (1600–1610nm) with ∼−3–9dBm mode power is achieved. Thereafter, a successful 64 Gbit/s DP-QPSK data transmission is demonstrated via a single self-injection locked mode over ...

Superconducting cavity stabilized oscillators by self‐injection locking

Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1980
AbstractIn the superconducting cavity stabilized oscillator (SCO), which has extremely high‐frequency stability, the power input to the superconducting cavity (SC) must be minimized since the energy stored in the SC causes a shift in the resonance frequency away from its value at zero stored energy due to the electromagnetic radiation pressure and ...

104Hz Linewidth, Self-Injection Locked, Chip Scale NIR Laser

CLEO 2024
Self-injection locking is induced via low-loss Si3N4 ring coupled to a III/V DBR laser, achieving intrinsic linewidths of 103.8Hz. The injection locked laser shows 3 orders of magnitude improvement in linewidth versus the free running state.

Complete phase stabilization of self-injection locked microcomb

Nonlinear Optics and its Applications 2024
Complete phase stabilization of a chip-integrated self-injection-locked microresonator frequency comb is presented for the first time. We utilize recently demonstrated synthetic-reflection self-injection locking to guarantee deterministic access to single soliton microcomb.

Self-Injection Locked and Phase Offset-Free Micromechanical Frequency Combs

Physical Review Letters
Pure mechanical frequency combs attracted a lot of attention recently due to the intriguing nonlinear dynamics and potential of miniatured precision timekeeping but are currently limited by narrow spectra and missing frequency locking physics. In this Letter, we report the design and experiment of a self-injection locked micromechanical frequency comb ...
