Beyond Earth: Resilience of Quasi‐2D Perovskite Solar Cells in Space

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In the article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202520433), Christoph Putz and co‐workers demonstrate rigid quasi‐2D perovskite solar cells operating in low Earth orbit, delivering stable power for more than 100 days under real‐space conditions. In‐orbit performance is correlated with extensive ground‐based thermal and proton‐irradiation studies on rigid and ...

Self-injection locked CW single-frequency tunable Ti:sapphire laser

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
A self-injection locked continuous-wave (CW) single-frequency tunable Ti:sapphire laser is demonstrated in this paper. Unidirectional operation of the presented Ti:sapphire laser is achieved by using a retro-reflecting device which can retro-reflect a seed laser beam from one direction back into the counter-propagating field.

Multiple RF carrier distribution in a hybrid radio/fiber system employing a self-pulsating laser diode transmitter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A self-pulsating laser diode is used to generate a multicarrier microwave optical signal for use in a hybrid radio/fiber system. The self-pulsation frequency of the laser is controlled by external light injection, and can be varied between 14-24 GHz. The
