Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Decreased surface blistering and deuterium retention in potassium-doped tungsten exposed to deuterium plasma following ion irradiation

open access: yesNuclear Fusion, 2023
A large-size potassium-doped tungsten (KW) plate with a thickness of 15 mm was fabricated via powder metallurgy technology and hot rolling. In order to appraise the irradiation resistance of KW, the surface deuterium (D) blistering and D retention were ...

“Block and attack” strategy for tumor therapy through ZnO2/siRNA/NIR‐mediating Zn2+‐overload and amplified oxidative stress

open access: yesAggregate, 2023
Intracellular zinc ion (Zn2+) accumulation disrupts the Zn2+ homeostasis, providing an ion‐overloading anticancer strategy with great potential. The self‐adaptation of tumor cells to ion concentration, however, puts forward higher requirements for the ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Rate Equation Analysis of the Effect of Damage Distribution on Defect Evolution in Self-Ion Irradiated Fe

open access: yesMetals
Ion irradiations have a damage peak near the beam incident surface. A simulation model with reaction kinetic analysis using rate equations was employed to study the defect evolution caused by localized damage distribution in self-ion irradiated iron ...
