Role of glucometry in outpatient care, and managing patients with impaired carbohydrate metabolism

open access: yesКлинический разбор в общей медицине, 2021
The patient should become a full-fledged partner of the physician in the question of diabetes mellitus treatment. Patient’s compliance and ability to perform structured self-monitoring have a direct impact on the treatment outcome. Patient education is a

Shape‐Morphing Nanoengineered Hydrogel Ribbons as Hemostats

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a self‐assembling, shape‐morphing nanoengineered hydrogel ribbon system that rapidly forms porous aggregates in situ for efficient hemostasis in trauma and surgical applications. Abstract Rapid and effective hemorrhage control remains a major challenge in trauma and surgical care, particularly for complex or noncompressible wounds.

Self‐Powered Permeable Electronic Dressing for Exudate Management, Electrostimulation and Drug Delivery in Chronic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a self‐powered permeable electronic dressing (SPED) that synergistically integrates exudate management, electrical stimulation, and on‐demand drug delivery. The dressing effectively absorbs exudate while demonstrating potent antibacterial activity and accelerated tissue regeneration in diabetic mouse models, thereby promoting ...

The role of glycemic self-control in diabetes management: based on the American Diabetes Association guidelines (2021)

open access: yesМедицинский совет, 2021
Glycemic control represents an integral part of diabetes mellitus (DM) therapy. It is not surprising that diabetes technology is evolving to not only create new routes of insulin administration, but also to improve the measurement of glycemia.

MagPiezo: A Magnetogenetic Platform for Remote Activation of Endogenous Piezo1 Channels in Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MagPiezo enables wireless activation of endogenous Piezo1 channels without genetic modification using 19 nm magnetic nanoparticles and low‐intensity magnetic fields. It generates torque forces at the piconewton scale to trigger mechanotransduction in endothelial cells, standing as a novel platform to interrogate and manipulate Piezo1 activity in vitro.

Self-monitoring of diabetes mellitus: why Contour TC?

open access: yesМедицинский совет, 2014
Self-monitoring of blood glucose remains the cornerstone in the treatment of diabetes. The primary aim of diabetes treatment is target level of glycemia, which can not be achieved without effective self-moniroting with a glucose meter.
