Image self-recovery with watermark self-embedding

Signal Processing: Image Communication, 2018
Abstract In this paper, an effective image authentication method for image tamper detection and self-recovery is proposed. We embed the fragile watermark of one block which consists of authentication data and recovery data into the other block according to the embedding sequence generated by chaotic map.

A self-recovery mechanism for quadrotors

2014 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO 2014), 2014
Flying robots have many applications in constrained environments. But they are facing difficulties when they cannot take off again without human intervention if they are not in upright position after a fall. This paper presents a method to design a self-recovery mechanism for the quadrotor to protect itself and recover autonomously after accidental ...

Poetry and Self Recovery

Australasian Psychiatry, 2007
Objective: The author, a mental health consumer, describes key elements of ‘self-directed recovery’ central to which was the writing of poetry. Examples of poetry through the recovery journey are presented and provide a means to identify other resources to this end.

Fatigue Fracture of Self-Recovery Hydrogels

ACS Macro Letters, 2018
Hydrogels of superior mechanical behavior are under intense development for many applications. Some of these hydrogels can recover their stress-stretch curves after many loading cycles. These hydrogels are called self-recovery hydrogels or even fatigue-free hydrogels.

Early Fault Self-recovery Model and Fault Self-recovery Methods on Aircraft

2008 Chinese Control and Decision Conference, 2008
In order to increase the safety of aircraft and its the reliability, the early fault self-recovery model of aircraft is established and the early fault self-recovery methods are presented. They are based on the early fault mechanisms analysis of the aircraft and the early fault characteristics of the aircraft are used.

Self-Recovery Superhydrophobic Surfaces

2021
Superhydrophobic surfaces are already being used in processes such as self-cleaning, water-oil separation, water harvesting, and other fields. Surfaces are defined as superhydrophobic when they consist of densely packed protrusions on the nanoscale and/or microscale, with side walls that have tilt angles exceeding the advancing contact angle of water ...

Self-Recovery in Metals

Nature, 1944
Two theories have been put forward to account for the broadening of the X-ray reflexions given by cold-worked metals. First, the crystals may be broken down into small mosaic elements (fragmentation)1, or, secondly, they may be so distorted by the stresses (microstresses) present that the lattice parameter varies over a range of values2.
