Hierarchical PP–LSR107–BaTiO3 nanocomposite films are fabricated by one‐step extrusion and stretching for roll‐to‐roll manufacture, combining high energy storage and processing flexibility. LSR107 surrounds BaTiO3‐rich regions, locating amorphous PP, decreasing defects, and introducing deep traps that homogenize the electric field and suppress charge ...

Structural Pieces Rehabilitation with Self-Tapping Screws
Timber is one of the oldest raw materials in construction, due to their availability worldwide, and the ease of using it. The majority of buildings in Brazil, until the Industrial Revolution, utilized this material as main input, rooting most of our cultural heritage in it.

Deconstructable connector for TCC floors using self-tapping screws
Abstract Timber-concrete composite (TCC) systems are effective solutions for the construction of new structural floors and the rehabilitation of the existing ones. Nevertheless, the subject of design for disassembly of TCC floors is still an area that requires further research and development.

The use of a non-absorbable membrane as an occlusive barrier for alveolar ridge preservation: A one year follow-up prospective cohort study [PDF]
The aims of this study were to obtain preliminary data and test the clinical efficacy of a novel nonporous dense-polytetrafluoroethylene (d-PTFE) membrane (permamem®, botiss) in alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) procedures with a flapless approach.

Self‐Adhesive Conductive Elastomers for Gel‐Free Biopotential Recording
σPOMaC, a self‐adhesive conductive citrate elastomer incorporating PEDOT:PSS and DBSA, enables gel‐free biopotential electrodes with stable conductivity and intrinsic skin adhesion. The composite exhibits low resistivity (∼ 0.02 Ω·cm), robust electrical performance during repeated use, and reliable on‐body ECG acquisition comparable to Ag/AgCl ...

Self‐Heating and Thermal Gradient in Solid‐State Batteries: Friend or Foe?
This work investigates the role of self‐heating and thermal gradients derived from the kinetics/transport interactions within the cathode microstructure, electrode architecture, and operating regimes, thus encouraging a mechanism‐centric design of anode‐free solid‐state batteries for next‐generation high‐power applications.
