Development and Validation of the Prosocial Behavior in School Scale

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1001-1019, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study reports on the development, factor structure, and validity indicators of the Prosocial Behavior in School Scale (PBSS) among 4264 sixth‐ to eighth‐grade students in the United States. The final PBSS is a 12‐item self‐report measure of students' prosocial behavior in a specific classroom.

ISOT: Distributed Selfish Node Detection in Internet of Things

open access: yesInternational Journal of Information and Communication Technology Research, 2018
Internet of Things (IOT) has prepared for a range of small sensors to popular laptops. Wireless communication in IOT systems assumes the nodes as a terminal as well as a router which can transmit the data packets.

Selfish Node Detection in Delay Tolerant Networks Using Fuzzy Logic

open access: yesFuzzy Information and Engineering
Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) are a type of Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) where nodes are mobile, resulting in the absence of an end-to-end path between the source and destination nodes.

Improving Selfish Node Detection in MANETs Using a Collaborative Watchdog [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Communications Letters, 2012
Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) are composed of mobile nodes connected by wireless links without using any pre-existent infrastructure. MANET nodes rely on network cooperation schemes to properly work, forwarding traffic unrelated to its own use. However, in the real world, most nodes may have a selfish behavior, being unwilling to forward packets for ...

‘Vitamins’, shortcuts, and athletic citizenship in Ethiopia and Cameroon: considering sporting ethics beyond biomedicine « Vitamines », courts‐circuits et citoyenneté sportive en Éthiopie et au Cameroun : l’éthique du sport, au‐delà de la biomédecine

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Volume 32, Issue 2, Page 494-515, June 2026.
This article argues that the current way of thinking about ethics in sport in primarily biomedical terms, and in particular in terms of the presence of particular pharmaceutical substances, fails to account for broader notions of sporting ethics and fairness in the Global South.

The role of the Access Point in Wi-Fi networks with selfish nodes [PDF]

open access: yes2009 International Conference on Game Theory for Networks, 2009
In Wi-Fi networks, mobile nodes compete for accessing the shared channel by means of a random access protocol called Distributed Coordination Function (DCF), which is long term fair. But recent drivers allow users to configure protocol parameters differently from their standard values in order to break the protocol fairness and obtain a larger share of

A Natural LTR Retrotransposon Insertion in the Promoter of GhNAC140‐Dt Boosts Cotton Lint Yield

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 6, Page 4240-4262, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Transposable elements (TEs) are fundamental drivers of crop evolution and domestication. Whereas the underlying mechanisms of TE‐mediated gene activation remain poorly understood. Lint percentage is an important yield component in cotton. Here, we report a retrotransposon insertion in the promoter of GhNAC140‐Dt, a secondary wall NAC encoding ...

Anthropologist, heal thyself: Toward an anthropology of healing through relational interbeing

open access: yesFeminist Anthropology, Volume 7, Issue 1, May 2026.
Abstract I call for an anthropology that confronts its own woundedness. Anthropologists often bear witness to suffering but rarely examine how our own grief, trauma, and institutional distress shape the affective tone of our work. Drawing on fieldwork with Runa (Quechua) women affected by forced sterilization in Peru and guided by my collaborator and ...
