Externalism, Naturalizability of Content, and Research Programs in Semantics

Semantic externalism, in its causal (as opposed to social) variety, is the view that the content of certain classes of terms/concepts (viz. names/singular concepts and natural kind terms/concepts) is in part determined or individuated by factors external to the mind/brain – in particular, by causal interaction with the environment (cf. Kallestrup 2011).
