Semantic modeling 2023

2023
Although it is well documented that children with ASD are slower to develop their lexicons, we still have a limited understanding of the structure of early lexical knowledge in children with ASD. The current study uses network analysis and differential item functioning anlaysis to examine the structure of semantic knowledge, which may provide insight ...

Semantic data models

ACM Computing Surveys, 1988
Semantic data models have emerged from a requirement for more expressive conceptual data models. Current generation data models lack direct support for relationships, data abstraction, inheritance, constraints, unstructured objects, and the dynamic properties of an application.

Semantic modeling project

Proceedings of the 2004 ACM SIGGRAPH international conference on Virtual Reality continuum and its applications in industry - VRCAI '04, 2004
In this paper, we introduce a semantic modeling project by implementing a southeast China vernacular urban modeling system. This system converts the basic modeling components of geometry units (e.g. point, line, triangle etc.) into the semantic components (e.g. street, block, patch, house etc.).

Semantic feature modelling

Computer-Aided Design, 2000
Abstract Almost all current feature modelling systems are parametric, history-based modelling systems. These systems suffer from a number of shortcomings with regard to the modelling process. In particular, they lack a complete specification of feature semantics, and therefore fail to maintain the meaning of the features during modelling.
