A Lightweight Procedural Layer for Hybrid Experimental–Computational Workflows in Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We unveil a prototype hybrid‐workflow framework that fuses automatedcomputation with hands‐on experiments. Built atop pyiron, a lightweight, parameterized layer translates procedure descriptions into executable manual steps, syncing instrument settings, human interventions, and data capture in real‐time today.

Are All Code-Switches Processed Alike? Examining Semantic v. Language Unexpectancy

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
Prior studies using the event-related potential (ERP) technique show that integrating sentential code-switches during online processing leads to a broadly distributed late positivity component (LPC), while processing semantically unexpected continuations

Children with autism spectrum disorder who demonstrate normal language scores use a bottom‐up semantic processing strategy: Evidence from N400 recordings

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, 2023
Introduction The N400 is an electrophysiological component that reflects lexical access and integration of words with mental representations. Methods Thirty‐five young children with a range of language capabilities (n = 21 neurotypical controls, 10 males,

Lexical-semantic processing in the semantic priming paradigm in aphasic patients

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 2012
There is evidence that the explicit lexical-semantic processing deficits which characterize aphasia may be observed in the absence of implicit semantic impairment.

Toward Knowledge‐Based Workflows: A Semantic Approach to Atomistic Simulations for Mechanical and Thermodynamic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Knowledge‐based atomistic workflows are presented for mechanical and thermodynamic properties. By coupling modular simulations with ontology‐aligned metadata and provenance, Fe case studies on elastic behavior, defects, thermal properties, and Hall–Petch strengthening reveal how FAIR, queryable, and reusable simulation data can be generated. Mechanical

The Flexible Role of Social Experience in the Processing of Abstract Concepts

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences
Multiple representation theories propose that social experience plays an important role in grounding abstract concepts. However, it is less clear how social experience influences the processing of abstract concepts, especially whether this influence is ...

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

Semantic processing in children with autism spectrum disorder

open access: yesINFAD, 2020
In the present study, the semantic processing of a group of children with autism spectrum disorder (n = 24) was analyzed, with the main objective of finding out if they present differences with respect to a group of children with typical development (n =

Dynamic Discovery of Type Classes and Relations in Semantic Web Data

open access: yes, 2017
The continuing development of Semantic Web technologies and the increasing user adoption in the recent years have accelerated the progress incorporating explicit semantics with data on the Web. With the rapidly growing RDF (Resource Description Framework)
