Coherence‐Gated Wrapped‐Phase InSAR With Matrix‐Based Uncertainty Diagnostics for Burial‐Mound Hotspot Ranking (Sicily, Italy)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Burial mounds are key elements of Mediterranean funerary landscapes, but in intensively cultivated coastal plains their low‐relief expression is easily obscured by ploughing, levelling and rapidly changing surface conditions, making single‐date observations unreliable.

Inferring rheumatoid arthritis disease activity status from the electronic health records across health systems

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective Disease activity plays a central role in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) clinical studies. The inconsistent availability of data on disease activity in real‐world electronic health records (EHR) data has limited the ability to generate real‐world evidence (RWE). This study aimed to develop and validate scalable machine learning (ML) models to infer

Development of a framework for implementing digital serious games in anatomy education: A single‐centre qualitative study

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract Serious games are emerging as innovative tools in medical education, yet their adoption in anatomy teaching remains limited due to educator hesitancy, institutional constraints, and design challenges. This qualitative study explores the perspectives of anatomy educators on digital serious games and proposes a framework for their implementation.

Semantic Similarity Reasoning

2016
The cornerstone of current Computational Linguistics research is the computation of semantic similarity between lexical items or some of their conceptualization in available semantic resources such as WordNet. However, measures for semantic similarity and/or relatedness usually work with numerical outputs, which are then used to solve tasks related to ...

Semantic similarity

Proceedings of the Workshop on Linguistic Distances - LD '06, 2006
Linguistic similarity has been a prominent notion and tool in computational linguistics and related areas, as elaborated nicely in the announcement of this workshop. Yet, what exactly counts as "similarity", or when two linguistic concepts should be regarded as similar, often remains rather vague and ill posed, which is in fact quite typical for ...

Semantic similarity between sentences

Journal of Psycholinguistic Research, 1973
The present study investigated the effects of deep, lexical, and surface structure relationships between sentences on judgments of these sentences' semantic similarity. Ten sentence conditions, four paraphrases and six nonparaphrases, were derived from a base sentence.
