Flexible Sensors for Robotics Tactile Perception: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Flexible tactile sensing for robotics is reviewed through four interconnected dimensions. Physical mechanisms include piezoresistive, capacitive, piezoelectric, triboelectric, iontronic, and optical sensing. Structural design includes bioinspired, defect‐based, and MEMS‐based tactile systems.

An Integrated NLP‐ML Framework for Property Prediction and Design of Steels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a data‐driven framework that uses language‐processing techniques to interpret steel processing descriptions and machine‐learning models to predict mechanical properties. By organising complex process histories into meaningful groups and enabling rapid property forecasts, the work supports faster, more informed steel design through ...

Semantics of nouns and nominal number [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In the present paper, I will discuss the semantic structure of nouns and nominal number markers. In particular, I will discuss the question if it is possible to account for the syntactic and semantic formation of nominals in a parallel way, that is I ...

Automated Extraction of Multicomponent Alloy Data Using Large Language Models for Sustainable Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large language model (LLM) based pipeline is developed to automatically extract a comprehensive and accurate multicomponent alloy database from literature corpus. The extracted dataset is integrated with sustainability indicators to identify potential alloys that outperform existing industrial benchmark materials in terms of both performance and ...

Brain‐Computer Interface Training Fosters Perceptual Skills to Detect Errors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Accurate perception of visuomotor errors underpins motor precision and learning, yet conventional behavioral training fails to improve sensitivity to subtle errors. Real‐time EEG‐based brain‐computer interface feedback targeting the error positivity component enhances perceptual learning of small errors.

CD177 Deficiency Defines a Stable Subtype of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes with Tumor Promoting Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

Adequacy of compositional translations for observational semantics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate methods and tools for analysing translations between programming languages with respect to observational semantics. The behaviour of programs is observed in terms of may- and must-convergence in arbitrary contexts, and adequacy of ...
