Ultrahigh Piezoelectricity in Truss‐Based Ferroelectric Ceramics Metamaterials
By leveraging the unique combination of polarization direction and loading state, ultrahigh piezoelectricity is achieved through careful tuning of the relative density and scaling ratio in truss‐based ferroelectric metamaterials. This approach enables the simultaneous realization of extremely high piezoelectric constants and ultralow dielectric ...

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

Analysis of cooperativity and localization for atomic rearrangements [PDF]
We propose new measures of localization and cooperativity for the analysis of atomic rearrangements. We show that for both clusters and bulk material cooperative rearrangements usually have significantly lower barriers than uncooperative ones, irrespective of the degree of localization.

Cauda epididymis in mammals is known to store mature sperm largely in quiescent state for several weeks without significantly affecting fertility. Hence, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of mimicking cauda epididymal plasma (CEP)-like ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Antimicrobial peptides and proteins as alternative antibiotics for porcine semen preservation
Background Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is nowadays a major emerging challenge for public health worldwide. The over- and misuse of antibiotics, including those for cell culture, are promoting AMR while also encouraging the research and employment of ...

Programmable Liquid Crystal Elastomers Via Magnetic Field Assisted Oligomerization
This article presents a straightforward method for designing programmable liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) actuators using magnetic field alignment. It combines thio‐Michael polyaddition for efficient LCE synthesis with a strategy that preserves the nematic phase, enabling the alignment of high molecular weight LCOs.

On homology of map spaces [PDF]
Following an idea of Bendersky-Gitler, we construct an isomorphism between Anderson's and Arone's complexes modelling the chain complex of a map space. This allows us to apply Shipley's convergence theorem to Arone's model. As a corollary, we reduce the problem of homotopy equivalence for certain "toy" spaces to a problem in homological algebra.
