Semi analytical scheme for the presentation of solution to Fractional Fokker–Planck Equation

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
In this work, we have also proposed new semi analytical scheme combining least-squares and asymptotic homotopy perturbation methods AHPM for the solution of Fractional Fokker–Planck Equation (FFPE). The Caputo version of derivative is used.

Critical Temperatures for Vibrations and Buckling of Magneto-Electro-Elastic Nonlocal Strain Gradient Plates

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
An analytical method is presented in this work for the linear vibrations and buckling of nano-plates in a hygro-thermal environment. Nonlinear von Kármán terms are included in the plate kinematics in order to consider the instability phenomena.

Analytical considerations of flow boiling heat transfer in metal-foam filled tubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Flow boiling in metal-foam filled tube was analytically investigated based on a modified microstructure model, an original boiling heat transfer model and fin analysis for metal foams.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Semi-Analytical Solutions for the Qi-Type Dynamical System

open access: yesSymmetry
The aim of present paper is to obtain approximate semi-analytical solutions for the Qi-type dynamical system, while neglecting its chaotic behaviors. These solutions are derived using the Optimal Auxiliary Functions Method (OAFM). The impact of the system’s physical parameters is also investigated.

Analytical solution for the cumulative wake of yawed wind turbines

open access: yes, 2022
This thesis sets out to improve the physical grounding and predictive accuracy of cumulative wake effect modelling within wind farms with yawed turbines. It derives an analytical solution for the lateral velocity field within a wind farm and compares its

Adaptive Mesh Refinement Strategy for the SemiAnalytical Solution of Frictionless Elastic Contact Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Semi-analytical methods are commonly used to solve contact problems. These methods require the discretization of the domain into a mesh of pressure elements.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

SOLUTION OF FRACTIONAL BURGERS EQUATION BY TWO INTEGRAL TRANSFORM BASED SEMI ANALYTICAL METHODS

open access: yesAcademy Journal of Science and Engineering
This study is concerned with the solution to a family of problems in mathematical physics referred to as Burgers equation. The fractional order Burgers equation considered is a nonlinear problem and can therefore not be solved by using any of the known ...
