Search for Close Binary Evolved Stars
We report on a search for short -period binary systems composed of pairs of evolved stars. The search is being carried out concurrently with a program to characterize the kinematical properties of two different samples of stars.

Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Resolving and Controlling Silicoaluminophosphate Zeolite Intergrowths and Mixtures
Low‐dose electron microscopy enables atomic‐resolution imaging of beam‐sensitive SAPO‐34/18 intergrowths, revealing their stacking sequences and spatial distributions under controlled Si content and SDA ratio. This work establishes a methodology linking controllable synthesis with atomic‐resolution microscopy to investigate structure–property ...

Polarization Dynamics in Ferroelectrics: Insights Enabled by Machine Learning Molecular Dynamics
Machine learning molecular dynamics is presented as a route to capture polarization switching, domain wall kinetics, topological polar textures, and polar mechanical coupling beyond the limits of conventional atomistic methods. This Perspective surveys recent progress and identifies key methodological directions, including long‐range electrostatics ...

MASS, ANGULAR-MOMENTUM, AND ENERGY-TRANSFER IN CLOSE BINARY STARS
[[abstract]]The paper surveys some aspects of the dynamics and energetics of close binary stars which have heretofore not received a detailed review. Attention is directed to those processes of mass, angular momentum, and energy transfer that are thought

ABSTRACT Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) remains largely incurable due to the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and immunosuppressive microenvironment. While boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) selectively eradicates tumor cells via 10B(n, α)‐7Li reactions, its clinical potential in GBM is unrealized because of the suboptimal pharmacokinetics of conventional ...

Astrophysical parameters forthe eclipsing binary IZ Persei
New spectroscopic observations of the B-type eclipsing binary IZ Persei are analysed via cross-correlation and disentangling codes to determine orbital parameters and separated spectra of the two stars for the first time.

Optical Windows for Transcranial Brain Imaging in Living Mice: Skull Thinning, Clearing, and Beyond
Longitudinal, noninvasive in vivo imaging is crucial for studying brain physiology. Advances in transcranial optical windows and multiphoton microscopy have improved imaging depth, but their performance often deteriorates over time. This work investigated various transcranial window approaches and found that skull regrowth limits image quality.

The origin of very wide binary stars
A large population of fragile, wide (> 1000 AU) binary systems exists in the Galactic field and halo. These wide binary stars cannot be primordial because of the high stellar density in star forming regions, while formation by capture in the Galactic ...
