Numerical integration scheme–based semi-discretization methods for stability prediction in milling
The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2021Chatter is not conducive to machining efficiency and surface quality. One of the essential types of chatter in the machining process is regenerative chatter. This study presents the numerical integration scheme–based semi-discretization methods (NISDMs) for milling stability prediction.

Convergence analysis of a coefficient inverse problem for the semi-discrete damped wave equation
Applicable Analysis, 2020In this paper, we study the convergence of a coefficient inverse problem for the two dimensional semi-discrete damped wave equation. Based on the new discrete Carleman estimates for the semi-discrete wave operator, the uniform stability estimate is ...

Chatter has a detrimental effect on the milling process, which makes the chatter stability prediction very critical in milling. This paper presents a new semi-discretization method (SDM) based on predictor-corrector scheme to predict the stability of milling process. Firstly, the dynamic of the milling system is modelled by delay-differential equation (

A Modified Third-Order Semi-Discrete Central-Upwind Scheme for MHD Simulation
Chinese Physics Letters, 2011The Kurganov scheme is a third-order semi-discrete central numerical algorithm. The high solution of the scheme is ensured by a piecewise quadratic non-oscillatory reconstruction which consists of the cell-average data. We employ a modification of the smooth limiter of reconstruction in a simple way.

Semi-discrete central-upwind schemes with reduced dissipation for Hamilton-Jacobi equations
IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, 2005Summary: We introduce a new family of Godunov-type semi-discrete central schemes for multidimensional Hamilton-Jacobi equations. These schemes are a less dissipative generalization of the central upwind schemes that have been recently proposed by \textit{A. Kurganov}, \textit{S. Noelle} and \textit{G. Petrova} [SIAM J. Sci.
