Standard Model predictions for lepton flavour universality ratios of inclusive semileptonic B decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We present Standard Model predictions for lepton flavour universality ratios of inclusive B → X(c) ℓ ν ¯ ℓ $$ \ell {\overline{\nu}}_{\ell } $$ . For the ℓ = μ, e, these ratios are very close to unity as expected.

Anomalies in b → s Transitions and Dark Matter

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
Since 2013, the LHCb collaboration has reported on the measurement of several observables associated with b → s transitions, finding various deviations from their predicted values in the Standard Model. These include a set of deviations in branching ratios and angular observables, as well as in the observables RK and RK⁎, specially built to test the ...

Study of B¯d,s⁎0→Dd,s+M- Decays with QCD Factorization Approach

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
Motivated by the b‐physics experiments at running LHC and upcoming SuperKEKB/Belle‐II, the nonleptonic B¯q⁎0→Dq+M- (q = d, s and M = π, K, ρ, K⁎) weak decays are studied within QCD factorization framework. The observables of these decay modes are first predicted.

Prospects for Studies of the Free Fall and Gravitational Quantum States of Antimatter

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
Different experiments are ongoing to measure the effect of gravity on cold neutral antimatter atoms such as positronium, muonium, and antihydrogen. Among those, the project GBAR at CERN aims to measure precisely the gravitational fall of ultracold antihydrogen atoms.

Exploring New Models in All Detail with SARAH

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
I give an overview about the features the Mathematica package SARAH provides to study new models. In general, SARAH can handle a wide range of models beyond the MSSM coming with additional chiral superfields, extra gauge groups, or distinctive features like Dirac gaugino masses.

Charm physics confronts high-p T lepton tails

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We present a systematic survey of possible short-distance new-physics effects in (semi)leptonic charged- and neutral-current charmed meson decays. Using the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) to analyze the most relevant experimental data at ...

Revisiting semileptonic B meson decays at next-to-next-to-leading order

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We compute next-to-next-to-leading order corrections to the semileptonic decay rate of B mesons for arbitrary values of the final-state quark mass. For the contribution with one massive quark in the final state, we extend the literature result and obtain

Current Direct Neutrino Mass Experiments

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
In this contribution, we review the status and perspectives of direct neutrino mass experiments, which investigate the kinematics of β‐decays of specific isotopes (3H, 187Re, 163Ho) to derive model‐independent information on the averaged electron (anti)neutrino mass. After discussing the kinematics of β‐decay and the determination of the neutrino mass,

Branching fraction and CP asymmetry of the decays B+→K0Sπ+ and B+→K0SK+ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
An analysis of B+ → K0 Sπ+ and B+ → K0 S K+ decays is performed with the LHCb experiment. The pp collision data used correspond to integrated luminosities of 1 fb−1 and 2 fb−1 collected at centre-ofmass energies of √ s = 7 TeV and √ s = 8 TeV ...
