The Irano‐Turanian Floristic Region harbors a rich flora, but our understanding of the development of this diversity is limited by a lack of data on phylogenetic relationships and biogeographic patterns of endemic and more widespread plants. Hypotheses of in situ diversification versus allopatric diversification were tested using Iris subgen. Scorpiris,

SEMI-MARKOV DECISION PROCESSES AND THEIR APPLICATIONS IN REPLACEMENT MODELS
We consider the problem of minimizing the long-run average expected cost per unit time in a semi-Markov decision process with arbitrary state and action space. Using the idea of successive approximations, sufficient conditions for the existence of an optimal stationary policy are given.

Abstract The societal and biophysical permeability across human‐demarcated jurisdictions within watersheds necessitates collaboration among administrative regions. The effectiveness of such collaboration is partly determined by the degree to which institutional arrangements align with underlying social and ecological interdependencies, a concept ...

Bridging Human and Plant Adaptations for Climate Resilience
Climate change is transforming agriculture through both gradual shifts and increasingly unpredictable extremes, challenging farmers' ability to protect crops and livelihoods. This study brings together farmer experiences and plant adaptation strategies to explore how people and plants respond to similar climate pressures.

Abstract Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) represent a group of bone marrow disorders involving cytopenias, hypercellular bone marrow, and dysplastic hematopoietic progenitors. MDS remains a challenge to treat due to the complex interplay between disease‐induced and treatment‐related cytopenias.

Tariff-Sensitive Global Supply Chains: Semi-Markov Decision Approach with Reinforcement Learning
Global supply chains often face uncertainties in production lead times, fluctuating exchange rates, and varying tariff regulations, all of which can significantly impact total profit.

Mechanistic Learning for Predicting Survival Outcomes in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma
ABSTRACT We employed a mechanistic learning approach, integrating on‐treatment tumor kinetics (TK) modeling with various machine learning (ML) models to address the challenge of predicting post‐progression survival (PPS)—the duration from the time of documented disease progression to death—and overall survival (OS) in Head and Neck Squamous Cell ...
