Semi-tensor Product of Matrices

2011
This chapter provides a basic introduction to the semi-tensor product of matrices. We will emphasize concepts, geometric interpretations, and some fundamental properties. All proofs are omitted as we refer to Cheng and Qi (Semi-tensor Product of Matrices—Theory and Applications, Science Press, Beijing, 2007) for them.

Singular Boolean networks: Semi-tensor product approach

Science China Information Sciences, 2012
Singular Boolean networks are introduced in this paper. Via semi-tensor product of matrices and the matrix expression of logical functions, two kinds of the condensed algebraic expressions of singular Boolean networks are obtained. The normalization problem of singular Boolean networks is addressed; that is, under what condition singular Boolean ...

Updated formulas for semi-tensor product of matrices

2017 36th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2017
Some main formulas about semi-tensor product (STP) of matrices are presented in their mostly updated forms. The formulas consist of (i) fundamental formulas about STP; (ii) swap and permutation related formulas; (iii) formulas for the application of STP to logical systems; (iv) the relationship of STP with Kronecker products; (v) formulas for the ...

Game-based control systems: A semi-tensor product formulation

2012 12th International Conference on Control Automation Robotics & Vision (ICARCV), 2012
A class of control systems, which are emerged from dynamic games, are considered. Using semi-tensor product of matrices, the set of strategies can be described as a set of matrices. Then the dynamics of such systems can be converted from logical type dynamics into standard discrete-time dynamic systems.

On degeneracy problem of NFSRs via semi-tensor product

2020 39th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2020
The degeneracy problem of nonlinear feedback shift registers (NFSRs) is investigated in this paper. A new method for finding sub-families included in a family of NFSR sequences is proposed. First, the algebraic form of Fibonacci NFSR is proposed by viewing the NFSR as a Boolean network. Some properties of the algebraic expression are provided.

Storage Constrained Smart Meter Sensing using Semi-Tensor Product

2019 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (SMC), 2019
Utility companies are an integral part of the smart grid, providing consumers with a broad range of energy management programs. The quality of service is based on the measurements obtained from smart metering infrastructures, which can further be improved by sensing at finer resolutions.

Optimization of expert system via semi-tensor product

2017 32nd Youth Academic Annual Conference of Chinese Association of Automation (YAC), 2017
An expert system (ES) is a computer system that emulates the decision-making ability of a human expert. And it is designed to solve complex problems by reasoning about knowledge, represented primarily as IF-THEN rules. However, the control accuracy is determined by the complexity of the IF-THEN rules, which are designed according to the practical ...
