Sampled-data stabilization of delayed Boolean control networks with state inequality constraints [PDF]

Scientific Reports
This paper studies the set stabilization of delayed Boolean control networks (DBCNs) with state inequality constraints via time-variant nonuniform sampled-data control. State inequality constraints are introduced into DBCNs.

Control in Boolean Networks With Model Checking

Frontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, 2022
Understanding control mechanisms in biological systems plays a crucial role in important applications, for instance in cell reprogramming. Boolean modeling allows the identification of possible efficient strategies, helping to reduce the usually high and

Parallel One-Step Control of Parametrised Boolean Networks

Mathematics, 2021
Boolean network (BN) is a simple model widely used to study complex dynamic behaviour of biological systems. Nonetheless, it might be difficult to gather enough data to precisely capture the behavior of a biological system into a set of Boolean functions.

Influence maximization in Boolean networks

Nature Communications, 2022
Boolean networks modelling various biological processes are characterized by nonlinear reversible dynamics that makes their control challenging. The authors introduce extended concepts of influence and control, typically considered in the study of ...

Boolean network model predicts knockout mutant phenotypes of fission yeast. [PDF]

PLoS ONE, 2013
Boolean networks (ornetworks of switches) are extremely simple mathematical models of biochemical signaling networks. Under certain circumstances, Boolean networks, despite their simplicity, are capable of predicting dynamical activation patterns of gene

Dynamical methods for target control of biological networks

Royal Society Open Science, 2023
Estimating the influence that individual nodes have on one another in a Boolean network is essential to predict and control the system’s dynamical behaviour, for example, detecting key therapeutic targets to control pathways in models of biological ...

Conversion between Logic and Algebraic Expressions of Boolean Control Networks

Applied Sciences, 2020
The conversion between logic and algebraic expressions of Boolean control networks plays a worthy role in the analysis and design of digital circuits. In this paper, for a single Boolean function, a direct conversion between the minterm canonical form ...

Optimization-Based Approaches to Control of Probabilistic Boolean Networks

Algorithms, 2017
Control of gene regulatory networks is one of the fundamental topics in systems biology. In the last decade, control theory of Boolean networks (BNs), which is well known as a model of gene regulatory networks, has been widely studied.

Structural Controllability of Boolean Control Networks under Partial Information

Complexity, 2021
It is worth noting that both nodes’ coupling connections and logical updating functions play a vital role in state evolutions of Boolean networks (BNs).
