A Semicycle of Ground-Potential Rise

IRE Transactions on Communications Systems, 1972
A brief description is presented of why the power utilities need communication during faults. Wire communication channels can supply this need when suitably protected. The maximum groundpotential rise is needed to select protective equipment. How this transient voltage is generated with its wave shape and duration is explained for a single phase-to ...

Synthesis of Semicyclic/Exocyclic Amino-1,3-dienes by organocuprate addition to semicyclic propyniminium salts

Journal fr Praktische Chemie/Chemiker-Zeitung, 1996
Conjugate addition of organocuprates to the 2-ethynyl-substituted cyclic iminium triflates 3 generates aminoallenes which tautomerize immediately to semicyclic 2-amino-1,3-dienes (6, 8) or exocyclic 1-amino-1,3-dienes (9, 10) with the enamine function incorporated into or attached to a 5-, 6-, or 7-membered ring.

SEMICYCLIC THIOACETALS AS SYNTHETIC BUILDING BLOCKS

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 1991
Abstract 1,3-Dithianes are very well known as “Umpolung” reagents, whereas open-chained thioacetals are far less useful for carbon-carbon bond formation reactions1.

Spectroscopic and Photographic Evaluation of the Near-Surface Layer Produced by Arc-Induced Polymer Ablation

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2019
High-intensity plasmas can release material from the surface of polymers by a process known as arc-induced ablation. As consequence, the formation of a near-surface layer of polymeric vapor is generally assumed.

Semicyclic 3‐Trifloxypropen‐ and Propyniminium Triflates

Liebigs Annalen der Chemie, 1994
AbstractO‐Sulfonylation of 2‐oxomethylene‐substituted 1‐azaheterocycles 1 yields the 3‐trifloxypropeniminium triflates 2a–e in high yield. Thermal β‐elimination of triflic acid from these salts affords the propyniminium triflates (2‐ethynylcycliminium triflates) 3a–e.
