Representation theory of finite semigroups over semirings [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of Algebra, 2011
We develop the representation theory of a finite semigroup over an arbitrary commutative semiring with unit, in particular classifying the irreducible and minimal representations. The results for an arbitrary semiring are as good as the results for a field.

A survey on fuzzy semigroups

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2021
Fuzzy semigroup is an algebraic extension of semigroup. It has found application in fuzzy coding theory, fuzzy nite state machines and fuzzy languages. In this paper, a comprehensive literature review on fuzzy semigroup theory is realized.

Action graph of a semigroup act & its functorial connection [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications, 2023
In this paper we define C-induced action graph G(S,a,C;A) corresponding to a semigroup act (S,a,A) and a subset C of S. This generalizes many interesting graphs including Cayley Graph of groups and semigroups, Transformation Graphs (TRAG), Group Action ...

The Source of Semiprimeness of Semigroups

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
In this study, we define new semigroup structures using the set SS=a∈S|aSa=0 which is called the source of semiprimeness for a semigroup S with zero element.

A-ideals and fuzzy A-ideals of ternary semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2019
A ternary semigroup is a nonempty set together with a ternary multiplication that is associative. Every semigroup can be reduced to a ternary semigroup, but a ternary semigroup does not necessarily reduce to a semigroup.

Representation theory of finite semigroups, semigroup radicals and formal language theory [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2008
In this paper we characterize the congruence associated to the direct sum of all irreducible representations of a finite semigroup over an arbitrary field, generalizing results of Rhodes for the field of complex numbers. Applications are given to obtain many new results, as well as easier proofs of several results in the literature, involving ...

Controllability of Nonlinear Boundary Value Control Systems in Banach Spaces Using Schauder Fixed Point Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2015
In this paper, sufficient conditions for controllability of nonlinear boundary value control system in Banach spaces are established. The results are obtained by using semigroup theory “compact semigroup”and some techniques of nonlinear functional ...

New discussion concerning to optimal control for semilinear population dynamics system in Hilbert spaces

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2022
The objective of our paper is to investigate the optimal control of semilinear population dynamics system with diffusion using semigroup theory. The semilinear population dynamical model with the nonlocal birth process is transformed into a standard ...

Ramsey Theory for Layered Semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2021
We further develop the theory of layered semigroups, as introduced by Farah, Hindman and McLeod, providing a general framework to prove Ramsey statements about such a semigroup $S$. By nonstandard and topological arguments, we show Ramsey statements on $S$ are implied by the existence of coherent sequences in $S$.

Ramsey Theory in Noncommutative Semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1992
By utilizing ultrafilters we give a general version of the Central Sets Theorem [ 6 6 , Proposition 8.21]. This enables us to derive noncommutative versions of van der Waerden’s Theorem and several of its generalizations. We also derive some standard results, including the Hales-Jewett Theorem.
